Karu Café was established in 2014 as a pop-up café at the Falchi Building in Long Island City, Queens. Thanks to the loyalty of our customers and the idea of bringing an already superior quality of service to the next level, we have opened our second location in Woodside, Queens operating as a full service restaurant.
When conceptualizing Karu Café, the founding partners Zuny (P) and Augusto (V) thought that their unique fusion was missing from the NYC market and was a pairing that makes for a completely singular experience. Our model builds a bridge between South American flavors on the foundation of Paraguay and Venezuela’s cuisine and culture. Based on this, KARU Café’s menu has evolved over the last two years to include flavors and ingredients from other Latin influences.
It is our pleasure to introduce the uniqueness in flavor and culture that these countries can offer to local New Yorkers. The consequence is still to be tasted by you… all we can promise is an amazing experience that you won’t forget.
